Get Started

Do you have a project coming up? Looking for proposals? If you already have an Invitation to Bid or Request for Proposal, email them to us at proposals@zeletron.com (Please use only .doc, .docx, or .pdf formats). If you have yet to draft a RFP and not sure where to start, we recommend doing the following:

  1. Define Project Requirements

As best you can, define as many project requirements you can think of. Use simple use-cases to help you better understand your requirements. Consider the following:

    • Describe Your Application

In as little as a few sentences, describe your application at a functional level.

    • Define the Users of Your Application

Who will be using your application? What permissions will they have? Users might include administrators, members, and guests. If your application will be used internally by your company, users might include HR rep, accountant, sales agent, manager etc.

    • Define Application Resources

What functionality will your app require? If your application is a custom weblog, this might include “content” and “comment” resources. Define all the resources you can think of.

    • Define Permissions

What users will have access to a resource? Will a user have limited access to the resource? Define the users’ relationships to your resources.

Don’t worry about being overly detailed. IT project requirements are known to change regularly. If you don’t know all your project’s requirements at this point, that is OK. Give us the “big picture” or “vision” and we will help you translate that into user-cases or user stories we can work from. To help us manage your project’s changing requirements, our contract will include a change management plan, giving us a means to amend the project’s requirements as they become more clear.

Before moving on to the next step, take a few minutes and look through your use-cases or requirements. Organize these requirements in “must-have” and “nice-to-have” categories.

  2. Determine Your Budget and Deadline

This should be relatively easy to do. How much money are you willing to spend on this project? When do you need it completed? Your project will be limited by these constraints. Too tight a schedule and too little money will affect what features we can provide you. Think these through carefully. We will be using them as we craft our proposal.

  3. Submit Your Request for Proposal
